Who is responsible for this content

Instica's guides are published under the byline "Instica Team", but a single person is editorially accountable for every one of them: Alfred N, founder of Instica (Atlanta, GA). Alfred sold records on eBay and Shopify simultaneously, was burned by overselling, and built Instica to fix it — so the operational advice here comes from someone who has run the workflows it describes. How a guide is produced

We are transparent that our drafting process is partly automated. A typical guide moves through these stages:

1. Research. We gather current marketplace fee schedules, policy pages, and seller documentation for the topic, plus the operational patterns we see running an inventory product.
2. Automated first draft. We use large language models to assemble a structured first draft from that research. This is a starting point, not a finished article.
3. Multi-model revision. The draft is revised through more than one model and prompt pass to check reasoning, remove filler, and surface weak or unsupported claims.
4. Automated review gates. Before a guide can publish, it must clear a set of hard, automated checks: multiple models cross-review the piece for accuracy and tone, product claims are validated against our audited source of truth, and factual assertions are checked against the evidence gathered in research. A guide that fails any gate does not ship. This happy path runs without waiting on a person — but the named editor can intervene at any point, spot-checks published work, and remains accountable for everything that ships and for correcting anything found wrong.

Evidence and review dates

Marketplace fees, tax rules, and platform policies change — sometimes annually. Where a guide quotes a rate or a rule, we state that it is approximate and illustrative and tell you to confirm the current figure with the marketplace itself. Each post carries a publish date, and updated guides show an explicit "Updated" date so you can judge how fresh the information is. When we learn something is out of date or wrong, we correct the post rather than leaving it.

What we will never do

To keep this content trustworthy, we hold a hard line against fabricated social proof:

• We do not invent testimonials, customer quotes, or reviews.
• We do not publish made-up user counts, revenue figures, or "trusted by N sellers" claims.
• We do not attribute opinions to named or fictional customers who did not say them.
• Any testimonial we ever publish will come from a real, approved record with documented attribution and consent — never a placeholder. Until such records exist, our testimonial sections stay empty on purpose.

Product claims about Instica itself are held to a separate, audited source of truth so pricing and plan statements never drift from the real offer.
